The Lavoisier’s marriage

With my painting, I wanted to pay homage to the Lavoisier’s marriage. A pair of people with extremely open minds who in the eighteenth century created what we would call today a real power couple. A pair of free thinkers and scientists worked together to create the first modern chemistry textbook.
I based my painting on the Jean Louis David artwork “Portrait of Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier and his Wife”.

• Painting: The artwork is ready to hang, with the sides painted and the canvas stretched on durable wooden bars. It can be displayed without a frame or in a frame (my suggestion: a modern floating frame). Both options look fantastic and suit different styles.

  • Acrylic, lacquer, ink, oil, and spray paint on canvas.
  • Some colors, particularly orange and pink, are fluorescent and glow under ultraviolet light.
  • Only top-quality materials are used. A varnish coat protects the painting from dust and UV rays.
• Signature and Certification:
  • The painting is signed on the front and back.
  • A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
• Color Accuracy: Please note that colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings.
